Early Exercises Post #csection 1️⃣ Diaphragmatic Breathing - helps with mobility of diaphragm, down regulation of the nervous system, lymphatic flow, and gentle stretch through lower abdominals and scar. 2️⃣ Lying on Stomach (with or without pillow)- helps to stretch out the front of your hips and low abdomen. After a c-section you might have a difficult time standing upright due to tightness through abdomen and scar. If lying flat is too difficult start with a pillow under your hips and progress as able. 3️⃣ Cat/Cow- helps with spine mobility, stretching of abdominals and low back which will help mobilize your scar. Breathe in during “cow” and breathe out during “cat” 4️⃣ Open Book- The middle back often gets stiff while holding and feeding your baby.
